Pearl Engineering Services (UK) Ltd (The Company) is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for its employees and others who may be affected by its work activities.

 

The Company recognises its statutory obligations to maintain standards of safety for all its employees in every aspect of their work in relation to buildings, plant, equipment and workplaces, and for continually ensuring that these obligations are fulfilled.

 

The Company also acknowledges its obligations to members of the public, contractors and visitors to our premises, and will ensure that measures will be taken to maintain their Health and Safety.

 

The Director of the Company is responsible for the development of Health and Safety policies and procedures and shall ensure that appropriate resources are available for their effective implementation. However, all management and staff are required to co-operate to maintain the Health and Safety of the workplace, by observing and maintaining the safety standards as laid down in this Policy. It is the legal duty of every employee, whilst at work, to take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. They must furthermore, co-operate with the Company in any duty imposed upon it by any relevant legislation.

To ensure that the Company meets its responsibilities, it will provide as far as is reasonably practicable:

 

  1. Appropriate training and instruction to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently.
  2. All necessary safety devices, instruction, supervision and personal protective equipment as required by any relevant legislation.
  3. A constant and continuing review of Health and Safety matters applicable to the activities of the Company, in particular by consulting and involving all employees.
  4. Contact with relevant Health and Safety bodies to ensure that up to date knowledge on legislation, codes of practice and guidance is available.
  5. Suitable risk assessments of premises and the tasks carried out within them and elsewhere on behalf of the Company.

 

This Policy requires that clearly defined standards are produced and that consultation, monitoring and auditing procedures are in place, and are being used to ensure operations meet the required Health and Safety standards. This Policy will be implemented by every Manager throughout the company and must be brought to the attention of every employee by their Manager.

 

This Policy has the full support and commitment of the Director, and will be regularly monitored to ensure the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or organisational change.

 

All on site work is accompanied with a full risk assessment and method statement along with any COSHH assessments, COSHH registers, material data sheets and HAVS assessments for any materials and equipment used on site.
